For Adam Schultz, Housing for New Hope offers a way to serve his neighbors and maximize opportunities for all in Durham. Adam has been a Housing for New Hope Board Member for three years. He has also been active on the HNH marketing committee, served as a Durham affordable housing advocate and hustled as a 12-year downtown Durham entrepreneur.
Our organization has made a positive impact on Adam’s life and offered a way for him to pass his values down to his children. Each month they spend an afternoon making care packages with water bottles and granola bars. When they see community members in need, they can provide this neighbor with a nourishing snack.
With the meaningful impact Housing for New Hope has had on Adam’s life he knew Housing for New Hope had to be a part of his legacy. “I made the decision to include Housing for New Hope in my will because their work is a part of my identity. Durham has grown and changed significantly over the last 12 years and it’s important to me to continue serving those members of our community who need us most.”
Adam easily created his will using on online platform called Giving Docs. This web service is available for free to all Housing for New Hope supporters to create their will until June 30.
