    RAPID RE-HOUSING

Rapid Re-Housing is an intervention designed to help individuals and families quickly exit homelessness and return to permanent housing. The resources and services provided are tailored to the unique needs of the household, but typical services included housing search assistance, landlord advocacy and mediation, financial assistance for rent and utilities, and other supportive services such as the provision of food, household furnishings, and connection to other resources including employment assistance.

Rapid Re-Housing primarily serves families with children in Durham who are experiencing homelessness.

If you are a family with children facing homelessness in Durham, please contact the Coordinated Intake office by calling 919-560-8000 and asking for "Coordinated Intake." Based on eligibility criteria and availability, this office will provide a referral to one of Durham's resources for each family.
